First Home Buyers bullied out of the market.
Even though First Home Buyers have grown in numbers over the past 12 months, investors are returning to the property market in force, pushing First Home Buyers out of the market. With low interest rates and the property market showing signs of growth, why wouldn’t an investor buy an investment property?
Let’s say your annual rental return is approx. 3.5% (e.g. if you receive $450 per week in rent in a property worth $500,000 the annual return would be $450 x 52 weeks /$500,000 = 0.0468 x 100 = 4.68%). Let’s say your home loan interest rate is 4% for an investment loan, then you are ahead 0.68% per annum. This equates to $3,400 in your pocket. So an investment property could potentially make you money every week. Now we know why the investors are flocking back into the market. We haven’t even mentioned capital growth…
Don’t have a deposit? First Home Buyer? We got you.
Even though First Home Buyers are being bullied out of the market by investors, we are now accredited with a lender that is allowing First Home Buyers with little or no deposit, not pay exorbitant mortgage insurance premiums. The government is currently in planning for a scheme to help 10,000 first home buyers with a 5% deposit to obtain a loan without paying mortgage insurance. The key to this is that they will be pushing this scheme through smaller lenders and limiting it to 10,000 people nationwide. It’s best to align yourself with a broker to ensure you get access to the smaller lenders the government will roll out this scheme with.
Did you go to the gym?
Everyone is asking.
So did I wake up and go to the gym last week? I’m proud to say that I did.
I signed up to Crossfit 168 with positive encouragement from certain individuals. I am grateful that I have people around me that care about me enough to make me a better person.
I also signed up to raise money for Movember and chose a ‘move’ goal in addition to raising money. My move goal is to run 60kms in November. That’s 60 kilometres for the 60 men we lose to suicide each hour, every hour across the world.
I have already run 8.6km so far and enjoying it more and more.

I’m also trying to grow a mo, let’s see how that goes.
